Jamie and Allen were married Sunday April 25 in the most beautiful setting, a bed and breakfast right on the beach! It was lovely! The bride was gorgeous! Allen was handsome as well! It was a great trip, we arrived Saturday evening and spent a wonderful evening with Allen's family, and then up the next morning way too early, because we are programed that way from our kids, to help prepare for the wedding! Jamie endured nail filing, eyebrow plucking, hair curling, and all that crazy stuff, she looked gorgeous! We put some orchids in her hair for a finishing touch! I promise to post pictures as soon as I get a hold of Grandma's camera! Love you all!

A Few of my Favorite Spring Things!
I want you to know what I LOVE about spring!
Rain drops on noses and wet flip flops flippin'
Tomatoes are growin' and onions are tippin'
Lawns turning green and sweet buds on fruit trees!
These are a few of my favorite spring things!
Now, write a verse for yourself! Let me know what you love, or hate, about spring! Your're choice!!
Have fun!

Life's Simple Pleasures
Thunder and Lightening, rain and hail. That's what woke us up this morning. The kids parked themselves in a row by our sliding glass door and watched the storm. It was fun to see natures power rolling over us. We set off on our routine after that, breakfast, dressing, ready for school, and sending Mark out the door. Haley and Shawn found one of life's simple pleasures in the toy box. A whoopie cushion. Haley blew it up and Shawn sat on it, then they rolled around in laughter and did it again! What a great hour of entertainment!
Have a great day, full of interesting sounds!

She's Here!
Paige Jolley was born at 12:12 on April 16, 2010. She weighed in at 5 lbs 7 oz and was 18.5 inches long! Beautiful little Paige! Amy did so well! Her labor was long in the first phase but the last bit of active labor and pushing was relatively short! She did it like a pro! Though she was only 36 weeks the doctor gave her a clean bill of health and said her lungs sounded fine! We took plenty of pictures, you'll have to wait for tomorrow to see them though! Sorry! My camera's a 35 mm and has to be developed. They officially induced her at 6am on the 15th! You can talk to her for all the details! Mom and baby are doing great! I'm glad I was able to be there and help, it was quite an experience to be on the other end of things!

Okay, I have to post this!
So, Marky came walking in the door after school and asked me if I knew what nature was. So I took the bait, "What is nature?"
Marky: "You know, Mother Nature!"
Mom: "Oh....hmm..."
Marky: "Can I tell you a secret?"
Mom: "Yeah, sure, go ahead."
Marky: "I'm a fairy."
Mom: "A fairy eh?"
Marky: "Seriously!"
Mom: "Seriously?"
Marky:"Yeah, Kobe is too, he controls the weather, but he never tells me what it's going to be! It's so crazy! By the way, these are my special rocks to call other fairies with."
Mom: "Let's keep this a secret from dad -k-"
Marky: "Yeah, he wouldn't understand and want me to use my fairy power. Seriously!"
By this time I'm really trying HARD to hold it together. He's serious! Oh, I love my kids!

Shoot! And other bad words....
I want you all to know that I am trying really hard to hold it together enough to post this. I had really good intentions today. Scrubbed down my living room, reorganized the furniture so it was less cluttered feeling. Then off to the bank, the library, screaming fit (shawn, not I) and to the dreaded grocery store. Manacotti for dinner, yum. We get the ricotta cheese, the produce, some banana's before Shawn's head explodes, and last, but not least, the shells. Very bottom shelf. So, I bend over, as I have millions of times before, while trying to remember what I forgot to put on my list and Shawn screaming at the top of his lungs to be let out of the metal contraption on wheels when *THWANG!!!* "Shoot!" I exclaim, the 4 year old down the isle says, "That's a bad word mama, huh!" Yes, a bad word, not the first that came to mind unfortunately. My 10 year old over the shoulder boulder holder finally bit the dust. And it's a beautiful day so I'm wearing a t-shirt. So not only did it bite the dust, it did so in an unsightly manner and came shooting halfway out my sleeve! So, I stuff it back inside and proceed to thank heaven, I have nothing that really needs detainment! So, I pick up Shawn to hide my misfortune and rush to check out. 10 minutes I'm out the door throwing the groceries in the car. Darn! I forgot to pay for a broom. I jump in the car long enough to extract the remnants of my dignity, not knowing why I was suddenly thrust into the feminist movement, grabbing the broom and my screaming toddler I run back into the store. Self Check out isles are wonderful. 5 seconds I'm checked out, and broom in hand I fly home. No pun intended. What a day! Hope this gives you a good laugh!

Easter!
Happy Easter! We've had a crazy week! But it was all forgotten Saturday. I think my kids finally understand Easter. They knew it had something to do with Jesus, Mark knew it was the atonement. But until yesterday I didn't know if they really understood. We always have an Easter Family Home Evening/Morning/whatever time of day it is. Anyway, we learn and dive into the scriptures about easter, the resurrection, and what it means. We give them baskets with a little candy, but it's not from the easter bunny, it's a celebration, like a re-birthday party. For our FHE/M/W we watched A Special Witness of Jesus Christ. a BEAUTIFUL video done by the first presidency with President Hinckley. They each bear their apostolic witness of Christ, and his ministry, life, birth and death, and resurrection. We watched Elder Hollands witness then President Hinckleys witness of his resurrection both took place in the Garden of Gethsemane and the Tomb. We read our scriptures on the resurrection and little Marky had tears in his eyes. All those Family Home Evenings, and nightly scripture readings are paying off! He understands! What an ah-ha moment! Now if we can only get Haley to hold still long enough to understand as well! Maybe next year! Happy Easter! Go out and do something better!

All by myself....
So yesterday I attended the General Primary Board Axillary training in Salt Lake. I have been to these before as the chorister, so I knew what was happening. I didn't think I was going to have time to go, but Kathy volunteered to babysit for me and it all worked out. I parked under the new Deseret Book building, nice building! When I got to the training there were few seats left. In fact the only one I found was on the front row! Yikes! So, all by myself, I moseyed on down to the front row and plopped myself down next to a very nice lady who had driven in from Boise! What a drive in the snow! Did I mention it was snowing! There are 2 benefits of the front row, One: I didn't wear my glasses, so I can see! Two: I was able to meet the General Relief Society Presidency! They are beautiful, talented, and the spirit shines from them. Overall the training was wonderful, it answered a lot of questions I had. The spirit was strong and the idea's were wonderful. yes, wonderful twice, and now a third time.
